I was under an umbrella when I shot this. Had to run for cover immediately. But, the effect is so unique even without much touch up.
Here are some facts:
Although the typical Coliseum of Rome combatants were trained gladiators, convicted criminals and prisoners of war, occasionally glory-seeking individuals volunteered to fight. Often they overrated their skills and suffered the consequences.

@Faramarz: Thanks Faramarz for your nice comments! It was very well lighted at night by itself and it looks more impressive than daytime. Except maybe if the clouds in dramatic or Infrared =)

Gorgeous nightscape Wendy. :) The effect is really nice. The lights are fantastic and the lit sky forms a nice background.
